Description

The session illustrates the technological advancements achieved within the CapisciAMe
project, focused on automatic speech recognition for Italian-speaking individuals with
dysarthria. In particular, we present the development of an innovative communication
software, resulting from the evolution of speech recognition technologies and the services
offered by CapisciAMe. This tool is designed to support both interpersonal communication
and voice interaction with digital devices and virtual assistants, improving accessibility and
social inclusion. The session focuses on the challenges faced in technological development, the results obtained, and the potential impact of the proposed technologies in improving the quality of life for individuals with communication disabilities.
