Abstract
In this workshop, participants will be exposed to a series of apps that we created as solutions to challenges we found when working with students with complex disabilities in the educational environment.

Use of IssieApps can:
- Support core academic skills: Reading, writing, and math.
- Facilitate communication: Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools.
- Promote social interaction: Collaborative activities and games.
- Promote digital literacy: users learn to manage their tablet and apps in a more independent way
Target audience
Teachers and therapists working with students with disabilities in the classroom (kindergarten through grade school); pedagogical specialists; educational technology developers
Learning outcomes of the session
At the end of the session the participants will:
- Be introduced to 5 free new educational tools and how to use them.
- Have a better understanding of the importance of developing tools following principles of inclusive design.
- Have a better understanding of the applicability of the tools and how to use them effectively in their classrooms.
